National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS)

Diabetes is a serious, lifelong condition and one of Australia's fastest growing chronic diseases. To function properly, our bodies rely on insulin to convert glucose from food into energy. When this process is impaired, ongoing management and daily support become essential.

PharmaOne Pharmacies are proud to be a registered subagent of the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) - an Australian Government initiative administered by Diabetes Australia. Through the NDSS, people living with diabetes can access practical support, trusted education, and heavily subsidised essential diabetes products.

NDSS registration is free and available to people who:

• Have been diagnosed with diabetes
• Hold or are eligible to hold a Medicare card
• Live in Australia

Visitors from eligible countries may also qualify under a Reciprocal Health Care Agreement.

NDSS Products and Support Available at PharmaOne

Registered NDSS members can access a wide range of Government-subsidised products and services, including:

• Subsidised blood glucose testing strips
• Free insulin syringes and pen needles for insulin users
• Subsidised insulin pump consumables
• Ongoing information and support for managing life with diabetes
